Victoria's south east, the coast and its hinterland, is a peaceful, green and forested land. There are only small towns, no big cities, and beautiful national parks like Croajingolong or Wilson's Promontory. The area is served by the Princes Highway, coming from New South Wales, but there is not much traffic here. The hinterland leading up to the Australian Alps contains the beautiful Buchan Caves in the quiet Buchan Valley shown above.
