The easiest way to see the gorge is to book a tour with the Aboriginal run Nitmiluk Tours. There are some rapids in the river where the tour boats are left and you have to walk some 200m to the next part of the river. At this location, you will find Aboriginal paintings like above on the cliff walls. The round objects on the right are yams, if I remember right.
