Airlie Beach is one of a number of tourism oriented towns which together make up Whitsunday City. Situated in a hilly, tropical landscape with many beautiful bays, it is quite lively, but not overcrowded, comparing favourably with the Gold Coast. Like on the bay above, you can still find quiet places.
