Barossa Valley

Most wine connoisseurs know the Barossa Valley for its famous wines, exported to all over the world. The valley is about 50km north-east from Adelaide. The main town of the valley, Tanunda, has German roots, the other towns in the valley have a mixed heritage. The Germans, lutheran immigrants from as early as the 1840s, have also brought the wine industry to the valley. Seen from the hills as above, the wide valley bottom is almost completely filled with wineyards.
