Canberra, the capital of Australia, is not part of NSW, it lies within the separate Australian Capital Territory (ACT). But as it is completely surrounded by NSW, it is included in the NSW section of youraustralia.eu.
The ACT lies about halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, to avoid preferring either of them. The city plan was designed by Walter Burley Griffin, an architect from Chicago, as a "Garden City" with many parks and lakes. Actually, the largest lake, Lake Burley Griffin in the center above, was named after him. There is much to see in Canberra, but nevertheless the city feels a bit stuffy sometimes. The view above was taken from the Telstra Tower on Black Mountain north of Lake Burley Griffin.
