Canberra has got two parliament buildings, the old one, which opened in 1927, and the current one, opened in 1988. The Parliament House is a very strange building, it is like an artificial hill with lawns on which you can walk to its top and - if you are a kid - roll back down on your side.

Most fascinating is the four-legged flagstaff with the Australian flag, looking like something from another planet against the blue sky.
