Australia is a great vacation country. Not only great as an experience, but also in size. To see it all in one vacation usually is not possible - it would take at least six months. To help you decide what to see, and which part of Australia to visit, we created this website.
Of course, the main attraction of Australia are its wide unspoiled landscapes, the dry outback, but also the green forests and thousands of miles of beautiful beaches. Many travellers are fascinated by Australia's animals, quite distinct from elsewhere on this planet, or by its plants, for example the Eucalypt trees, some species of which are amongst the highest trees on earth.
Others are more interested in the sun and fun of Australia's beaches, or in Australias bustling metropoles. Many young people visit Australia between school and university, helped financially by liberal Working Holiday visa. Australia is a very safe travelling country, and it is easy to find travel mates in one of the many backpackers or YHA hostels.
But you find travellers of all ages in Australia - and they have one thing in common, their sense of adventure. Even in an organized travel group, it has something of an adventure to build a camp in the outback, surrounded by nature and hundreds of miles away from any settlement.
We hope to show you something of all this on youraustralia.eu. The current section contains some travelling information you may find helpful, and the other sections cover the states of Australia, with high-resolution images, mostly of nature and landscapes, local information and small orientation maps. Links will lead you to further sources of information like Wikipedia or the National Park home pages - we do not strive to replicate that information here.
