In two visits to the Cradle Mountains area, the author has seen more Tasmanian mammals than in any other region. Above a young Eastern Quoll, seen at a mountain hut on the foot of Cradle Mountain. Sightings of wallabies are common; if you stay overnight and take a walk in the evening, you might see Tiger Quolls, Possums or even Wombats or Tasmanian Devils.
