Most of the first 150 km of the coastline of eastern Victoria is almost untouched by man and protected by two national parks, the Croajingolong National Park and the Cape Conran Coastal Park. There is a small town in the middle of the Croajingolong N.P. which serves as a base for tours into the park, Mallacoota. Most of the park is covered by dense forests, but a coastal strip is open, covered by grassland and bushes, like the area near Shipwreck Creek shown above.
