The most important walking trail on Freycinet Peninsula, a half day walk, takes you from the parking lot over the mountain to Wineglass Bay. From there, you cross the peninsula on its narrowest and flattest point, walking on boardwalks like above through dense forests and marshes. After reaching Hazards Beach on Great Oyster Bay on the western side of the peninsula, you turn right and, following the coastline, return back to the parking ground in the evening sun. For more details on this and other walks in the park, check out the National Park map.
