Kakadu NP is probably the most famous National Park in all of Australia. With almost 20'000 square kilometers, it is larger than several small countries. The name of the park is derived from the name of an Aboriginal language, Gagudju, which used to be spoken within the area of the park. Most of the current Aboriginal inhabitants of the park speak other languages, though.

On this website, I decided to split Kakadu NP in two halves, but there is no real border (geographic or otherwise) between them - there are only too many sights in the park which have to be covered, and it is easier to get an overview this way.
