Kings Canyon is a break in the escarpment of an ancient plateau, with a bizarre landscape of hive-formed stone hills. The canyon has steep walls, about 300m high, and was cut by Kings Creek. From the rim of the plateau, there is an excellent view of the plains below. Similar to Uluru, there is a quite expensive resort and a more reasonable campground at the park.
