On the roadside near Mansfield, we spotted an Echidna, or Spiny Anteater. These very ancient mammals do not flee when you approach them, but stay in place, protected by their spines. Our travel mascot "Schnabel" (on the right, if you haven't spotted it...) used the opportunity to have a short chat with its cousin.
