A good place for shopping in Melbourne is Melbourne Central, a huge shopping centre on the northern side of the CBD, reachable via the local railway station also named Melbourne Central. In the building, covered by a glass roof, stands the Coops Shot Tower shown above, which was built in 1890 and was used to produce lead bullets by letting drop liquid lead from the top into a water basin on the ground, cooling off and hardening into almost perfect spheres on the way.
