Kookaburras can be found in most parts of Australia, including Tasmania. A species of kingfisher, they are famous for the loud laughing noises they are able to make. The birds are not very shy and will sometimes to your terrace table to get some breadcrumbs or more. This photo was taken at the excellent small campground on the road to Mt. Warning.
