Coffs Harbour is quite large, with more than 45'000 people living in the city. Although it is an important tourist destination, it does not have much charme - many tourists are Sydney residents who compromise between distance and tropical warmth and beauty. An important attraction is the Big Banana - no comment. Above the Coffs Harbour Jetty, an historic wharf used for timber shipping. To the left, a small bit of the protected Muttonbird Island can be seen, which can be accessed from the coast.
