And here, from the same spot, Mount Warning and the Tweed River Valley in their full glory. Mount Warning is a good day trip for reasonably experienced walkers - at the top, you need to do some climbing along steel ropes. The walk leads you through the rainforest surrounding the mountain and up to cooler climate zones. On a clear day, the view from the top is excellent.
There are several other excellent lookouts, and also some walking trails in the Springbrook area. Springbrook itself is a very low-key town with no recognizable town centre, but with excellent accomodation in lodges, cabins and b&b's.
