For the more adventurous, "The River Road" is a small unpaved road starting just west of Nelligen and following the Clyde River to the north. After about 20km, the road crosses the river in a ford, shown above. There is a small campground just before the ford, where you can hear the sounds of the forest in the night. To get back to the Princes Highway, follow the "Sheep Track" which starts a bit north of the ford.
