The Tweed River Valley is filled with abundant greenness, with some small villages and with several alternative retreats and campgrounds. It is possible to circle Mt. Warning by car, but the roads are partially unpaved. From Murwillumbah, you can easily reach several national parks on the crater rim, the Border Ranges N.P., Nightcap N.P., Mount Jerusalem N.P., all within NSW, Springbrook N.P. and Numinbah Forest with the beautiful Natural Bridge in Queensland, and of course Mount Warning N.P. in the center of the valley.
