Kings Park and Perth Botanic Garden lies on Mount Eliza, a hill on the north bank of Swan River, south-west of Perth CBD. The park focusses on the natural flora of Western Australia - the famous West Australian wildflowers of the park are shown on the WA start page.
The Botanic Garden contains about 2000 of 12000 WA plant species and is located on the eastern part of Kings Park, next to the river. The other parts of Kings Park are covered by forest and bushland.
On the left, WA plants and flowers are combined with the wreck of a car, depicting a "typical" outback scenery.
