Downtown Perth, seen here from Kings Park, is very business oriented, with banks and offices, shopping at Murray St. and Hay St., but not much in regards to entertainment. But that is slowly changing - on what above (in 2000) is still open range between the highways, the Perth Convention Centre has opened in 2005, and there are plans to reshape the Central Station area between the CBD and the suburb of Northbridge with a large entertainment and shopping centre shaped after Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany.
