Standley Chasm is another quite impressive gap in the MacDonnell Ranges, but not in the National Park - it is privately owned, and you have to pay an entrance fee (last time we checked, it was AU$ 5.50). But it is worth it - not only for the impressive chasm itself, but also for the walk to the chasm, through a green valley with many birds. The chasm is about 50km west of Alice Springs.
