The economy of the tropical north of Queensland bases on two things - tourism and sugar cane. Ingham (I), north of Townsville, is the center of sugar production, where you can visit the largest sucar refinery, Victoria Mill. But also further south, like above in the Pioneer Valley, you will find enormous sugar cane fields and refineries.
