Sydney Harbour, with its many bays, is actually the drowned canyon of the Parramatta River. In the center of the image above lie the Botanical Gardens around a bay called Farm Cove, and left of them the Opera. On the right, there is Wooloomooloo Bay with some Australian warships at the quay. The green area on the opposite shore is Taronga Zoo, which can be reached directly by ferry from Circular Quay. The ocean shore can also be seen, with North Head and South Head guarding the entrance to the bay. The ideal place to get this view is Sydney Tower!
