Homebush Bay Olympic Centre

The Sydney 2000 Olympics took place at Homebush Bay, where several huge stadiums were built. The huge area is west of Sydney Centre and can be reached by car or by ferry from Circular Quay, down the Parramatta River. Once basically a toxic dump site, it was redeveloped for the Olympics and now is called Sydney Olympic Park, hosting sport events as well as concerts.
