Sydney is famous for its beaches, and Manly, a suburb in the North, together with Bondi in the South, has the most famous one. The suburb centers around the Corso, with many cafes and souvenir shops.

Manly is also a good spot to look for accomodation - many hotels and backpackers cater to the beachgoers. Although it is some distance to Downtown Sydney, there is much to see in the area, not the least Ku Ring Gai Chase and North Head, beautiful areas protected by National Parks.
