Tesselated Pavement

The Tessellated Pavement, on the Forestier Peninsula near Eaglehawk Neck, is a natural stone terrace almost at sea level which is cut by erosion lines in a very regular pattern. Although it may look artificial, it is the result of natural forces, breaking up the layer of rock in two orthogonal directions.
