Lake Eildon is a large reservoir created by the damming of the Goulbourn River, in the foothills of the Australian Alps. The surrounding area is protected by the Lake Eildon National Park. As can be seen above, the droughts of the last few years have had an heavy impact of the lake, which today is filled at less than 8% of its capacity.
