Mt. Samaria is a small state park on the foothills of the Australian Alps, 15 km north of Mansfield. A gravel road crosses the park from north to south, quite steep in places, but in dry weather not a problem. From the road you can walk to the top of Mt. Samaria, through forest and fern thickets, and enjoy the great view from the top over the plains and Lake Nillahcootie.
