From the lighthouse at the Port Phillip Bay entrance at Queenscliff, you can watch large freighters and ferrys in the channel, and have a glimpse of Point Nepean on the eastern side of the Bay. There is a ferry between Queenscliff and Sorrento on the eastern side of the Bay entrance, but with AUS$ 55.- one way for a car with 2 passengers, it might be too expensive for a day trip.
