Depending on rainfall, most of the flat crater ground of Tower Hill State Game Reserve is covered by a shallow lake. The lake is often covered by thousands of birds, from seagulls to black swans. A birdhide is only a short walk from the mushroom-formed visitor center of the Game Reserve.
