Although it has only around 2000 inhabitants, the town of Augusta has everything a regional centre might need - an overland bus stop, a landing strip, a hospital, and even a quite good chinese restaurant. The town is located near Cape Leeuwin,  the south west tip of the Australian mainland. From the small port shown above, you can tour Flinders Bay, Blackwood River and nearby Molloy Island. In the whale season from June to September, whale watching tours start in Augusta.
