Due to the limestone geology, the region is rich with caves. Six of them are open to the public - Mammoth Cave, Jewel Cave (above), Moondyne Cave, Lake Cave, Calgardup Cave and Giants Cave, most located south of Margaret River. Jewel Cave is very spectacular, with huge chambers, straw stalactites and limestone flags.
