Windjana Gorge is a large gap where Lennard River crosses the Devonian Reef.

Ignoring that it is a holy place for the aboriginals, white settlers tried to cross the barrier of the reef through it in the 1890s. Jandamarra attacked and defeated them here, and also overpowered a police patrol with his group.
