The region is renowned for the Zebra Rock, a striped siltstone found in the Lake Argyle area. The stones are processed and sold at two companies in Kununurra, Rockalong Stoneworks located in town, and Zebra Rock Gallery, located on the east bank of the dammed Ord River outside of town.
